I have found it amazing that the only thing Norman Peale tells people to do is to read the Bible and pray. After that they feel great. It makes me think about how we, as a nation, claim to be Christian but most do not practice their religion. Why is this? It's apparent that great things come to those who have faith in God. And faith comes from coming to know him through prayer and scripture study. In a time when the world seems to be uncertain and headed for certain destruction, this is something that we need to do. I challenge whoever reads this to increase the level of commitment you have for God. Evaluate how you feel. I bet if done sincerely, you'll experience a better, happier, and renewed life. I've certainly experienced it. Thank you Norman Peale for writing "The Power of Positive Thinking"!

The Power of Positivity
It is incredible how the mind affects everything that we do, feel, and are. Recently I have been reading "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale.
It is such an amazing book! The amazing thing about it is that he focuses on Christ's power. Through His power we are able to reach our ultimate capacity. However, we first need to change our thinking, which is where positive thinking comes in to play. So many of us go through life with emotional baggage. Some, or most of it perhaps, is not even our own. This baggage saps the energy out of us, and it prevents us from becoming who we are capable of becoming. Instead of thinking how crappy or awful our life is, we need to focus on how great and wonderful it is. I remember a story that he shared in "The Power of Positive Thinking" about a man who came to talk with him about his "hopeless life". He told him how bad his life was, and the Norman Peale responded with asking him questions about what he has in this life, like his family's support. When they were done, the man's eyes were opened, and he realized that his life wasn't hopeless and that there was a lot of good in his life.
I have found it amazing that the only thing Norman Peale tells people to do is to read the Bible and pray. After that they feel great. It makes me think about how we, as a nation, claim to be Christian but most do not practice their religion. Why is this? It's apparent that great things come to those who have faith in God.
